For those who know me, I’m not going to explain myself in an introductory post.  For those who don’t, head over to the about page.  Now that’s out of the way, let me start off my first post here by saying how much WordPress rocks as a blogging platform.  It’s been a couple years since I had a real blog and boy has it improved.

Last night was New Years Eve, and probably for the first time in like 5 or 6 years I didn’t go out and celebrate it by getting drunk.  We stayed home at the apartment, snacked on popcorn, chips and champagne (apple cider for Annette) and watched the whole ball drop thing.  I was a little taken back though by the amount of wear the stroke has done on Dick Clark.  At first I thought he was completely shitfaced drunk before I remembered he had a stroke a few years back.  But I just couldn’t take watching the man suffer like that so I switched it over to Carson Daly’s broadcast.  But the bonus post celebration of watching Fergie and Ne-yo for two hours had to go!

Anyway, I really think 2009 is going to be a great year.  Thinks are already lining up, everyone is pumped for “change” and things just generally feel better already.

2009 ftw!

PS: I found it strange that the builtin WordPress spell checker didn’t understand the word “blog” but knew I had spelt Ne-yo’s name wrong with Neyo.
