I look forward to hearing more. I'm planning to do something very similar. For us it will mean cancelling DirecTV as well as our ATT phone service (who needs home phone anyway) and DSL. Switching to Comcast cable and then using something like Boxee for TV content.

I've been testing out the Boxee beta and I like the interface. The Boxee Box sounds very awesome too. Though I am still leaning toward a Windows Media Center solution. Using Media Extenders I'll be able to watch TV content from all the rooms of our house (most importantly my kids room).

Keep us posted.

We just got rid of our dish too. It is shocking to us but we still seem to be swimming in stuff to watch. I just miss Food Network and BBCA. I wish we could get access to other countries tv online. BBC and Food Network CA have awesome programs online.
